Neither of these are "required" for replication. wavs and use a burning software (hopefully Toast.) Do I really need the ISRC and PQ or can I just lay it out, burn a master and call it good? What's the deal?īasically, I mixed an album that will be sold privately (no major distribution or label) in Pro Tools. I'm getting mixed answers about the PQ and ISRC data being needed at duplication facilities. ![]() I know other programs also have these capabilities I'm looking for but our company uses Toast on a frequent basis so we'd rather just pay for a small upgrade for something we use rather than a product we'll seldomly get the use out of. I'd rather be on the safe side and burn a master CD-R with the ISRC and PQ. From my understanding the ISRC and PQ are sometimes needed at duplication facilities but not always. Right? Well Toast Titanium 10 (current version) produces red book but I cannot find anywhere if it has the capabilities of writing PQ and ISRC data. Toast 6 with Jam isn't available anymore because supposedly it all merged into Toast Titanium. I know that Toast 6 with Jam produces red book audio discs with the capability to export ISRC and PQ data. I have Toast 6, I know Toast 6 produces red book audio discs. ![]() I've done quite a bit of searching and I still can't seem to find the answer.only partial answers. ![]() I'm kinda new to this whole red book thing. ![]()
